Yay I can now reply to this! I just beat it.
And I like almost cried when Midna broke the mirror. See, I'm a big Midna/Link fan...so I was torn. And like, Midna said 'Link...I... -pause- I'll see you later'
Tell him you love him goshdarnit!
So yeah. But as most of you said, I was happy when she said the comment about her beauty, and he just gave a big-old grin

Yeah..It kinda made me want to THROW MY WIIMOTE THROUGH THE DAMN SCREEN! On purpose. If you could beat yourself up in the game, I would've KILLED Link.. Heh. Nice to meet you all. XD
But yeah. She was my all-time-fav character. I think they shoulda made Zelda go away, and call the next game, the Legend of Midna. That would be awesome..

OMFG YEAH. The Legend of Midna. I already love it. Hmm I wonder if there IS a glitch of beating yourself up. Or grabbing Midna away from the mirror, and throwing Zelda in instead

haha, That would've been hilarious. "sorry zelda nothing personal *grin*" *throw zelda into the twilight gate* XD. ooohhh on a completely unrelated and very off topic note. (which probbaly is looked down upon somewhere in the rules.) I went to my friends who have TP on the gamecube and when he showed me his file the map and everything else in the zelda world was back to front. Like midna's eye was covered on the left side and link held his sword in the left hand, I was wondering if nintendo made a mistake or if they did this on purpose :/. Trying to navigate was very confusing. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I couldn't help but share. sorry .

Seems to me that the Zelda lot were trying to go for a dramatic ending. The same thing has happened to my all time favourite manga, Hellsing. The artist/writer is currently in the process of killing everyone and maybe (I kid you not) dropping the bomb on the area.
I take Midna's 'see you later' comment as her knowing that there are other connections between the Twilight Realm and Hyrule. While it's a very popular plot device since it's so dramatic, 'one and only' objects, entrances, etc. are unrealistic in a fantsy world that has virtually all-powerful magic.
As for the back to front Hyrule, it's the Wii edition of Twilight Princess that is backwards. Link is left-handed, but since the majority of people would hold the Wiimote in their right hand, the Wii version was flipped to save the Zelda lot from having to rework the game.

Haha, yeah, but, I think they did that on purpose..I dunno though.

Hello, I'm new too! I beat the game yesterday and I'm feeling so sad from that moment on. I couldn't believe my very eyes!!! I just hope we'll see Midna again in a sequel to TP, I just can't think about the fact that the story could end this way. Not this way. Do you think there are chances we'll see her again in the next Zelda for Wii? Shouldn't we all try to let Nintendo know how much we want to see her again? Probably they wanted to see how the fans reacted to her, if they see how much that new character is loved by the fans they'll consider the option of including her in the new game. I mean, we have to deal with Tingle as the star of a new game and we should forget Midna?? Heck no!! Maybe, like some of you said, that "see you later" could really hint at another way, other than the mirror, to connect the twilight realm with hyrule. I thought that the mirror was the only known link...there could be something not yet known. Plus it'd be great to know that Link riding Epona in the ending was because he started his journey to find another way to see Midna again. I just hope it doesn't end this way=(( I need to be comforted =P

the ending made me cry, very literally shed some tears myself
I think the heartbroken look on Links face and the gasp set it over the top for me and ever since watching him leave the village (repeatedly.. lol) I've been wanting a direct sequel
Link showed actual care for a female character if not love it's obvious that he cares deeply for Midna and having it end with "the mirror is broken you can never see her again" would just be too much.. if they do somthing so foolish.. heads shall roll..

Last Scene is playing: "Finally, I beat the game. I'm so happy, it took me weeks to complete all thos dungeons. Now, for the happy, walk into the sunset ending...what the...WHAT!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOO!" *Sobs Heavily*
That was basically my reaction to the end! However, it can't be goodbye forever! Even the Japanese aren't THAT cruel. If you ask me, Link should cut a deal with the light spirits, get them to UNDO the seal.
Overall (accept the END end) I thought this game was the best Zelda game ever! To those fools who think Ocarina of Time was better, just three words..."Hey! Look! Listen!" You couldn't hold that stupid ball of light in your arms! GO TP! GO TP!

I felt really depressed because Midna broke the mirror... I felt like shit. You know how zelda absorbs you, and especially me, who plays a LOT? How link doesn't talk and kind of puts you in the shoes of link. Well, i kind of felt like link for that reason.. I was so sad she was gone.
It's hard to explain, but i liked Midna a LOT... And it was really saddening she was leaving...
I felt exactly the same. If they make a sequel, which they should, they have to start where they left off. THen they should re-unite the two and everyone is happy! They better not end it the same way though...

Oh yeah, I can see that! You finally get Midna back and then she comes up with some other LAME excuse why she has to go. No, Nintendo should really look at these forums, then they would see that they MUST ressurect Midna...well, might want to hide the Church...that might scare them off.
Everyday i fold to thoughts of you my small witch You left my world and left me alone in the unknown I've lost my way without you, i'm getting nowhere Great gods of the skies above, return my Midna to me.

>_> i kicked my GC when that happened, and i started yelling "FUCK YOU LINK!! YOU HAVE A FUCKING MASTERSWORD!! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING GOOD FOR THAN? SLASH AT THAT TEAR, YOU MOTHERFUCKER, SLASH!! YOU HAVE A MASTER SWORD, STOP THAT THING!!
Wow. Sounds violent, though that's not what keeps me concerned. I assure you that the use of those foul words would probably make visistors to your website more comfortable. After all, I am a Christian and I happen to love Twilight Princess. I think that if this site didn't have so much of this foul language spread on it, more people would be more likely to register. Not that it matters to you how many people register on here, as long as they like Midna! But I what I am trying to say is, if you could possibly keep the bad words "on the down low" as much as possible. Though, of course, I have no control over you or your actions, so I should probably stop trying to sound like a mother or something. But I just had to ask you of my favor. Now, I was GREATLY disapointed with the end of TP, however much Midna said she had to leave. I actually felt a TEAR trickle down my cheek when I saw the bonus scene. It was pretty rough, as her movement to totally destroy the mirror was pretty sudden. I was kind of confused as to why Zelda's hair floated toward the portal, I never got that! Midna leaving was a BIG disapointment, leading to a rebellion from many TP players. She's going to come back! -I created a thread in the Ordonian Dreadnaught section, so if you guys could check it out an post your comments (especially Aurora Ominae) I would be glad to see what my "idea" has become of.

Hey everyone, newcomer here
I was terribly heartbroken at the end of the game.. and I really mean heartbroken >_<
I beat the game about a week ago, and I still feel terrible about how Midna left.. just like that. I felt shocked and rather torn up after the game ended, and I even got a little teary-eyed the same night in bed thinking about the ending... I still feel kinda depressed.
Her character drew me into the story, moreso than any other character in a game, book, movie, or anything else I've ever read, watched, or played.
My only consolation is the possibility of a sequel to TP with her in it.. and of course knowing that people here love her as much as I do! heh
I felt really depressed because Midna broke the mirror... I felt like shit. You know how zelda absorbs you, and especially me, who plays a LOT? How link doesn't talk and kind of puts you in the shoes of link. Well, i kind of felt like link for that reason.. I was so sad she was gone.

you are not alone out there i have to endured the sadness of midnas leaving

I was awfully sad because I love Midna alot. She was just one of those characters in an RPG game that really grows on you. It was really heart-breaking when she broke the mirror and I still don't know if she did it on purpose or on accident. That's what made me sad by it when I first saw it because I really didn't think that she knew that she had broken the mirror when she left. Like others have said, I really felt like I was in Link's shoes at times during the scenes with Midna.
I was so happy to see what she really looks like because I thought Gannondorf had robbed us of that option when he rode in on his horse crushing the fused shadow helmet that Midna wears in his hands.
But then when Link looked over the horizon and a figure of a woman was walking towards him I was so happy because I knew it was Midna and was shocked at how pretty she was which made me laugh when she said, "Say something, I'm I so beautiful that you have no words left?".
I hope she makes a return or at least a cameo in a future game. ^ ^
